father's work, together with his mother

with the use of controls and pneumatic components, which bring
an increase in productivity.

1971 Mr Lucien LEGEARD succeeds his mother
as owner.

1972 As from here, production machines are
built within the company. This means that there is no need for
outside help with maintenance.

1981 The 1st. programmable robot is introduced
to manage several machines.

1982 Market launch of a new product (anti-suckling
ring for cattle). 214,862 were sold in 1988.

1984 Ets Lucien LEGEARD's articles were changed,
and the company's name was changed to LEGEARD s.a.

1989 Mr Pascal LEGEARD (6th. generation)
joins the group with a BTS degree in Automatism. The company starts
to diversify towards manufacturing special items in wire.

1990 Purchase of the 2nd robot, with improved
performance. It is the first of its kind used in France. A warehouse
is leased to hold 200 m2 of merchandise, to free up
our premises.

1991 Mr Pascal LEGEARD goes back to Management
school for 18 months, to train as a company manager.

1992 1 December, accommodation in the premises
on the new, road to Condé sur Noireau.

1994 Implementation and installation of the
first digital control panel. Implementation of a quality control

1997 A full-time salesperson is hired
